Skin-care seems like a luxury these days owing to the lack of time. There are usually a number of steps involved for a good skincare regime. Here is a simple 4-step Skincare Routine that you can do every night before going to bed. It will work wonders for your Skin:
1. Use a gentle cleanser
Choose your cleanser well for removing all the dirt, makeup, oil, pollutants and bacteria that has accumulated in your skin pores over the course of the day. Pick a gentle cleanser that has a low pH balance that will help maintain your skin without stripping it of its natural moisture and goodness.
Choosing a low pH cleanser will save the time of using a toner that is generally needed to restore the pH balance of skin.
2. Use an exfoliant
As you start aging, the skin slowly loses its properties of replenishing itself. The dead skin cells do not get replaced by new cells that make the skin look dull, dry and even cracked. However, keep your skin off harsh chemical exfoliants with uneven beads. It harms your skin more than doing good. Instead use a washcloth to get rid of all the dead skin cells from your face.
3. Anti-aging serum
Using a serum is very important in anti-aging skincare routine. Start applying a Vitamin-C rich facial serum as it is proven to be 20 times more effective when applied topically over when consumed. It fights signs of aging keeping your skin looking young and beautiful. This serum penetrates deep into the skin protecting it from sun damage and stimulates collagen production.

4. Moisturise well
As your skin tends to dry out with aging due to less sebum production, it is important to moisturize your face to make it look supple and soft. Look for a moisturizer with glycerine and hyaluronic acid.
While you need to spend somewhat 15-minutes for your skin every night, make sure that you also use other skincare routines like face masks and sunscreen. Use a sunscreen daily before leaving for work to prevent harmful UV rays from penetrating skin. Also use a face mask occasionally to replenish your skin of all the damage.
